Ever since his earliest days, he had been interested in serving the LORD.
This led to his questioning church leaders on why Christians worship on Sunday in stead of Saturday that is the Sabbath. He took part as an actor in television drama with NTA Jos, Nigeria. However, he could not escape the allure of non-fiction writing and storytelling and quickly began studying to become a writer. This led to his obtaining a Diploma Certificate in writing for children and Young Adults. He began by reading every chance he had, from classical literature to contemporary novels. Emmanuel Opiah's love of writing is uncontrollable. Once he began typing, he never stopped.
Emmanuel then began writing short stories for his own magazine The Light of The World now defunct.

This was a monthly magazine published in London. He hopes to revive the magazine in no distance future as he hopes to continue doing what he loves best, writing. His first book The Sabbath was as a result of his inquisitive mind during his earliest days or childhood days. He had re-written and up-dated this book and is in the process of being re-published. Since his first book Emmanuel has penned nearly six books and many short stories.
Emmanuel is now working on doing a series for one of his books which is due to commence early next year. "Emmanuel's love of non-fiction books is infectious", said one loyal reader at a recent book signing, "Once you read one, you have to read all of his books".
